Our strategic cooperations
We have had long-standing strategic partnerships with the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research and Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Apart from teaching at Goethe University, our focus there is on cooperating with the departments of biology, social sciences and geography.

Our involvement in international networks
We are intensively involved in international networks. In addition to topic-related research networks such as Alternet and IPBES, the further development of transdisciplinary research via the ITD Alliance is of particular importance.

Our involvement in national networks
In Germany, we are part of the Ecological Research Network (Ecornet) and the “Gesellschaft für transdisziplinäre und partizipative Forschung (GTPF)” (Society for Transdisciplinary and Participatory Research) in both of which we play a formative role. This is of key importance for our research as well as for the pursuit of our science policy goals.

Our involvement in Hessian networks
Due to being located in Frankfurt am Main, maintaining cooperation in Hesse is of particular importance to us. Here we are involved, among other things, in the “Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Hessen (KWH)” (Water Competence Center Hesse) and in “Hessisches Bündnis für Nachhaltigkeit” (Hessian Alliance for Sustainability).
